Today, Nov. 5, 2014 is the 25th anniversary of JEWS FOR JUDAISM’s first program in Canada.
On Nov 5, 1989, with about 40 people in attendance, JEWS FOR JUDAISM presented “The Missing Jews”, a two-evening seminar at the Zionist Centre in Toronto. The speakers, Rabbi Michael Skobac, Mark Powers and Julius Ciss alerted Rabbis, community workers and concerned Jews in attendance about the growing threat of deceptive Christian missionaries that were targeting Jewish people and successfully converting Jews to Christianity.
We’ve come a long way since then.
And our accomplishments could not have been possible without the tremendous support and encouragement from wonderful people like you. Thank you.

Presents educational programs to 5,000 Jewish participants
Provides 2,300 counselling sessions on missionary, cults & Jewish issues
Responds to 2,000 requests for help, information and referrals
Entertains 95 Jewish seekers as guests for Shabbat and Yom Tov
Distributes 25,000 items of literature, books and audio materials
Gains exposure to 30,000 people at conferences and public events
Reaches 75,000 listeners, bi-weekly through various radio programs

Hosts 600,000 video views of our YouTube & KosherTube online lectures
Aside from the above statistics, we’re continuing to produce dozens of videos of JEWS FOR JUDAISM’s inspiring lectures and uploading them onto our new YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/JewsforJudaismCanada.
Today’s Internet technology is now a key element in getting out our vital life-saving message and, in effect, rescuing Jewish lives. JEWS FOR JUDAISM is affecting the lives of 2,000 people a day. Over 1 Million Internet video views of our programs in just over two years, is a testament to the huge impact JEWS FOR JUDAISM is having worldwide and a credit to your ongoing support and friendship of people like you. Thank you.
Clearly, JEWS FOR JUDAISM is having a profound effect on at-risk Jews via the Internet, the newest battleground for evangelical Christian missionaries. Some studies indicate that over 50% of Jews who converted to Christianity in recent years made their initial contact with an evangelical missionary… online.
Every day, through Facebook and Twitter, where JEWS FOR JUDAISM has over 7,500 “Friends” and “Followers”, we’re engaging with and influencing the lives of a myriad of Jews globally.

Because missionaries and cults are now using the Internet to seduce their victims, many people assume that there’s “NO LONGER A PROBLEM” because they don’t see the missionaries on street corners anymore. Nothing could be further from the truth. There is a greater need that ever to help stem the tide and stop the devastation that is affecting Jewish communities everywhere on earth.
The facts are staggering:
- Missionaries converted over 500,000 Jews worldwide in recent decades
- Destructive cults cause many Jews to abandon family, friends and careers
- Eastern religions like Buddhism & Hinduism are spiritual choices for Jews
- Apathy & ignorance leave many Jews unaware, unaffiliated & assimilated
- Intermarriage is exploding with a 75% rate in many American cities
To fight back, JEWS FOR JUDAISM must continue to keep Jews Jewish through our lectures, publications, crisis counseling and our growing Internet presence. Quite frankly, your generous help provides the resources we need to get the job done.
