Volunteer for JEWS FOR JUDAISM’s Counter-Missionary Task Force on the Annual UJA Walk with Israel in Toronto on Sunday morning, May 25, 2025 at 8:30 am..

Last year there were 50,000 participants on the “Walk”, the world’s largest public demonstration of its kind in support of Israel. UJA expects many more this year.

CHRISTIAN MISSIONARIES ON THE WALK WITH ISRAEL:

Unfortunately, “Hebrew-Christian” missionaries also like to show up on the Walk with Israel to target the many Jews on the new 3.5 km route, along Bathurst St, from Wilson Ave to north of Sheppard Ave at the UJA Sherman Campus.

In past years, our Jews for Judaism staff and volunteers helped keep Jews Jewish on the “Walk” by confronting and countering many missionaries from various evangelical Christian groups that seek to convert Jews. 

While there will be many hundreds, if not thousands, of Evangelical Christians walking to just show their love and support for Israel, Jews for Judaism’s concern is only for those missionaries, like “Jews for Jesus” and “Chosen People Ministries”, who will be specifically targeting Jews and confronting Walk Participants with their smiles, literature and enticements

ANTI-ISRAEL PROTESTERS ON THE WALK:

In times past, there have always been a few dozen anti-Israel protesters at points along the Walk route. But this year, it is highly expected that there could be HUNDREDS of Anti-Israel Pro-Palestinian protesters along the ENTIRE 3.5 km length of this year’s walk. 

Both UJA Federation and the Toronto Police Force strongly insist that participants on the Walk DO NOT ENGAGE with the Pro-Hamas activists in ANY WAY whatsoever.

While there, you can register and understand their instructions.  Sorry, it’s too late to register for UJA’s meal deals and T-shirts, but $18 will still register you for the UJA Festival entry.

PLEASE NOTE: To volunteer for the Jews for Judaism Counter-Missionary Task Force, you must register separately by completing the Registration Form at the bottom of this page.   

YOUR DUTIES AS A JEWS FOR JUDAISM VOLUTEER:

As a volunteer with Jews for Judaism’s “Counter-Missionary Task Force” on Sunday, May 25th, you will:

  • Be friendly, wear a smile and share some of your pamphlets if requested.
  • Deter missionaries from engaging Jews for conversion to Christianity
  • Keep Jews Jewish
  • Show your solidarity with Eretz Israel
  • Promote Jews for Judaism to more than 50,000 people
  • Get a lot of exercise walking 3.5 kilometres
  • Enjoy some sunshine (or rain… bring sunscreen or umbrella)
  • Receive praise and encouragement from many Jewish community members for Jews for Judaism’s vital counter-missionary and Jewish outreach efforts

If you have ANY medical concerns about being able to walk the full 3.5 km route along Bathurst St., from Wilson Ave to north of Sheppard Ave at the UJA Sherman Campus, then please do NOT volunteer for this particular event as it may be too strenuous for you.

On Sunday morning, May 25, at 8:30 a.m. (rain or shine) we will meet at (Location disclosed after registration) to receive T-Shirts, shoulder bag, light refreshments and counter-missionary literature to distribute to walk participants, if needed. More details to follow by email, later this week.

If you plan on joining the JEWS FOR JUDAISM “Counter-Missionary Task Force” this June 9th then it is essential that you please provide us with your cell phone number and email address when you fill in our Registration form below. This is vital information for both follow-up now and communication later with you on the day of the Walk with Israel.

To familiarize yourself with responses to the missionary threat to Jews, and to those who deny the legitimacy of our G-d given Jewish Connection to Israel, it is highly recommended that you watch or read some of the following videos and/or literature.

DEADLINE:

If you plan on volunteering for the Jews for Judaism’s Counter-Missionary Task Force then please respond to this email by Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 4:00 pm in order for Jews for Judaism to pick up your wrist band to have ready for you at the Orientation Meeting on Sunday morning at 8:30 am.
