Just like a hibernating bear waking up from its long winter slumber, it’s time to come out and enjoy spring time at Shaarei Shomayim’s 27th Annual Cavalcade of Stars event in support of JEWS FOR JUDAISM… a trailblazer in global Jewish outreach.
Your support helps JEWS FOR JUDAISM to counter threats to Jewish survival, such as missionaries, cults, eastern religions, Jewish apathy and ignorance, anti-Israel BDS propaganda and assimilation… and to strengthen, preserve and defend Jewish identity through worldwide Internet educational programming and one-on-one counselling services that connect Jews to the spiritual depth, beauty and wisdom of Judaism.

Our Shul is a big part of life for Honouree Dr. Louis Vandersluis, his wife Risa and family. As our Gabbai, he selflessly reaches out to Shaarei Shomayim members. He truly enjoys working with the Shul’s clergy, Executive, volunteers and office staff and serves in various leadership roles. He cares and it shows.
Thanks to the tremendous support of donors like you, the Entertainment and Cultural Committee of Shaarei Shomayim Congregation is proud to say this year’s campaign in support of JEWS FOR JUDAISM is on the road to becoming a fabulous success!
A special thanks go to all the entertainers, too numerous to mention here in this letter, who helped make this event possible. Using rare video footage, this ‘virtual’ concert will feature almost all of the amazing performers from the last 27 years. We would also like to thank our esteemed Honouree, Dr. Louis Vandersluis, Master of Ceremonies Hyim Bessin, Rabbi Chaim Strauchler and Rabbi Michael Skobac for their vital participation in this program, for Alex Katz for 21-years of painstakingly video- recording almost every concert from the year 2000 to 2020… and especially Shaarei Shomayim Congregation for hosting this event for the last 27 years.
