THE VIRGIN BIRTH HOAX EXPOSED is a 2-Part Seminar with Rabbi Michael Skobac, Education Director, Jews for Judaism (Canada).
Christian missionaries insist that the Bible contains numerous prophecies, which identify Jesus, as the Jewish Messiah. In this seminar, Rabbi Michael Skobac critically examines the missionaries’ popular claim that the prophet Isaiah predicted the Messiah would be born of a virgin. This presentation focuses on the way that the New Testament mistranslates the passage from Isaiah 7:14. The Hebrew original speaks of a young woman (alma) giving birth to a child. Yet the Christian Bible distorts this to a “virgin” who gives birth. However, in Hebrew, the word for “virgin” would be a different word, “betulah” and not “alma”. This distortion is so clear, that numerous Christian scholars and translators have acknowledged that the New Testament claim is clearly based on a mistranslation.
